From spreadsheets to Six String!
The love for guitar strummed its way into my life in 2019. Trading the office grind for a musical adventure brought joyful experiences on stage and a Grade 6 electric guitar with distinction (thankfully, my playing hasn’t caused any complaints yet!). I explore a variety of sounds and techniques, from classical fingerstyle to jazzy electric guitar rhythms.
New to guitar? Don’t sweat it! The beginner’s journey is the foundation for developing a great playing style. With dedication, patience, and clear goals, your guitar objectives can become real.
Music isn’t just about the notes, it’s about the emotions it ignites. Let’s connect with the music within and create something beautiful together.

Since childhood, I felt an unspoken connection to music, especially the piano. No one ever asked if I wanted to play, yet I dreamt of being like Beethoven, despite not knowing a single note. Life took its usual course, and I didn’t quite understand where I was heading. I ended up attending a maths-info high school, and as a teenager, I discovered the world of Hip Hop Deejays. I thought that would be my ticket to becoming a music producer. But society’s louder voice led me elsewhere, and I ended up graduating from Bucharest’s top university for economics. While I “completed” my studies, my heart wasn’t really in it, and something always felt off.
I started working in sales and soon found my way into the electronic music scene, all thanks to some DJ friends I met at work. The dream was to become a world-famous DJ, naturally. But then, reality hit. To avoid a future living off ramen noodles, I needed to stand out. That’s when I decided to move to London and attend an electronic music school. I even took about eight months of piano lessons! But after completing my course at Point Blank London, things took a detour. I found myself running a small logistics company, and work took over my life. Music became secondary, and instead of creating beats, I was busy moving furniture across the UK. While the business left me with a perfect customer feedback, it wasn’t what I wanted long-term.
A new business idea came up, offering a flexible schedule so I could return to music. But, as expected, work quickly took over again. Eventually, I found myself managing a team and running e-commerce operations, though my desire to play music never faded.
In 2019, I finally took the leap and started learning an instrument. Not the piano I once dreamed of, but the guitar—an unexpected choice I quickly grew to love. Over the past five years, I’ve been learning and collecting guitars, and though it feels like I’m just beginning, the journey has been thrilling.
See Why They Love It So Much!
Kris"I’ve had the pleasure of being taught by Bob for about a month now. He is a fantastic tutor who actually seems to enjoy teaching. He has really helped me, a semi senior citizen with zero knowledge of guitar, to get started on my journey to learn to play. He is incredibly calm and thorough while simultaneously keeping learning interesting and fun. He has patience and empathy with the beginner guitarist, which is his second most important strength as a tutor. The first being that he lets me curse in every language known to man when things get too complicated for my brain and fingers, which is a big motivation to keep me going. If you want to learn in an easy, relaxed and fun way, go and learn with Bob. A warm recommendation!"
Daniel M."I am student of Bogdan over the past couple of months now. I found him a very patient teacher and someone who takes the time to work out what the musical interests of the students are, also he pick songs that introduce new component for study and practice every few weeks so that my skills are being, expanded gently but consistently. He is adapting very easy and professionally to situations when physically can't be present, but throughout the virtualise world such as skype, zoom can continue a consistent lessons to. I would like to thank you Bogdan for all the effort, patient and understanding, you are the best!"
Sam"Hands down the best guitar teacher for learning the fundamentals. He’s super patient and really takes the time to help you understand things at your own pace. He breaks down complex stuff into simple, easy-to-grasp ideas, and he never takes shortcuts—he makes sure you're actually getting it, not just rushing through. I'd recommend him to anyone who's starting their guitar journey."
Horia M.“I’ve known Bob for many years before he started his guitar journey. I even played guitar before he did. But his dedication and disciplined turned him into a teacher in just a couple of years. So when it came to brushing my guitar skills, who did I turn to? Bob. I’ve managed to learn about jazz progressions from him in our sessions. Patience, skill and understanding permeated our discussions. I’ve rapidly understood the knowledge and practice that I was seeking. What could be better than a friend who turns into your teacher?”
John A.“I recently started taking guitar lessons with Bob and I'm so glad I did! As a complete beginner, I was a bit nervous, but he made me feel so comfortable and at ease. He has an ingenious way of breaking down music concepts into easy-to-understand terms. This is a great investment of my wellbeing. I'm already seeing progress in my playing, and I'm really enjoying the lessons. I insisted to play Metallica but he said, mate, Nothing else matters more than the basics right now. Thank you, Bob!”
Lina S.“I'm a complete beginner in guitar and although Bob is new to teaching, he has a lot of passion and dedication in his lessons. I feel his approach is exactly what I need, crafted around my needs and schedule. I'm slowly getting into my guitar playing! Thank you Bob :)”

The perfectionist in him will always strive to make sure he is bringing the highest quality lessons to best help his tutees. He is open and transparent and incredibly passionate about what he does. He is an incredible candidate as a tutor, choose him, he'll be a brilliant choice.”

Luisa A.“I'd been wanting to learn guitar for a while but was a bit hesitant to start. I'm so glad I decided to take the plunge and start lessons with Bob. His lessons have been a total blast! After a few lessons with him, I have to say that his teaching style has been incredibly helpful. Even though I was starting from scratch, his ability to explain the things in a way that's both informative and entertaining (and really fun) is what I appreciate from his guitar lessons. I enjoy each class and I hope to get better as I continue with him. Thank you, thank you!”
